Card 1: How IT Moves the World

Information Technology (IT) is simply the system of using computers to store, move, and process data. To understand it, think about booking an APSRTC bus ticket today compared to 20 years ago.

1. The Client (You)

The Situation: You open the APSRTC app to book a seat to Vijayawada.

The IT Concept: Your phone is the Client. It doesn't know which seats are empty. It has to ask for that information.

2. The Network (The Internet)

The Situation: You tap "Search Buses", and a loading spinner appears.

The IT Concept: The Client is sending a digital request (a package of data) across the Network (cell towers and fiber optic cables) to find the answer.

3. The Server (The Brain)

The Situation: The app shows you the available seats and locks yours when you pay.

The IT Concept: Your request reached a Server—a massive, powerful computer sitting in a building far away. The Server checks the master database, confirms the seat is yours, and sends the answer back to your phone.
